Yachtfabrics
Vessel segment 04 / 08 · Motor Yacht

Closed on Sunday evening, opened again next weekend

The damage is not done during use, it is done in the five days the boat sits shut. Warm, humid air from the weekend stays in the cabin, the hull cools overnight, and every cycle puts a little more water into the foam under the cushion.

Recommendation

10 mm is enough for the shallower berth bases typical of aft and mid cabins, and keeps the cushion sitting at its designed height. Where the berth is built directly onto hull-contact structure, step up to Airflow Balance 15 mm.

Installation

Three steps, no tools

01
Lift the cushion

Remove the berth cushion and clear the board. No fasteners, no adhesive, nothing to drill.

02
Lay the fabric

Place the cut panel over the full berth area, running the length of the berth. Edges may be trimmed with scissors on board.

03
Replace and close

Set the cushion back on top. The gap works from the first night and stays open under sleeping load.
