Crew cabins that are never empty
On a watch rotation a bunk is occupied around the clock by different people. Lower-deck cabins sit against the shell plating with limited ventilation, and the mattress never gets an unoccupied day to release what the previous watch put into it.
15 mm handles continuous occupancy in standard bunk dimensions and cuts cleanly to the fixed sizes used across a class of vessels. Passenger cabins on upper decks, further from the shell, are usually specified at 10 mm.
Three steps, no tools
Remove the berth cushion and clear the board. No fasteners, no adhesive, nothing to drill.
Place the cut panel over the full berth area, running the length of the berth. Edges may be trimmed with scissors on board.
Set the cushion back on top. The gap works from the first night and stays open under sleeping load.
